More survives a flood or fire than most homeowners expect, especially with fast action. Not everything is recoverable, but we document everything, whether it comes back restored or documented as a total loss for your claim.
Documents & Photos
Paper documents, printed photos, books, and records are recoverable in many cases. Freeze-drying is the IICRC-standard technique for water-damaged paper. Where physical recovery is not possible, we scan and digitize before the item is lost. Speed matters: documents that sit wet for 24 to 48 hours are significantly harder to recover.
Electronics
Water-immersed electronics should never be powered on. Doing so causes irreversible failure that was otherwise avoidable. We assess, tag, and coordinate with electronics restoration specialists at our facility. TVs, computers, and appliances all go through this process. Unrecoverable items are documented as total losses for your claim.
Textiles & Soft Goods
Clothing, area rugs, drapes, and upholstered furniture are cleaned using ozone treatment and wet or dry cleaning matched to the fabric type. Soot from fire damage requires careful removal, the wrong method sets a stain permanently. Delicate and antique textiles get individual handling.
Art, antiques, and collectibles are handled case by case. We document and photograph these items on-site, then coordinate with specialist conservators when recovery is warranted. Nothing in your home is treated as just a line item.
