What You Need to Know First
Mold Is a Moisture Problem
Cleaning visible mold without fixing the moisture source means it returns. Every RescueHero remediation starts by identifying and correcting the source before any removal begins.
Containment to Stop Spread
We establish negative-air containment barriers before disturbing any growth, so spores cannot travel to clean areas of your home during removal.
HEPA Filtration Throughout
Commercial air scrubbers with HEPA filtration run continuously during remediation, capturing airborne spores down to 0.3 microns.
IICRC S520 Remediation
Every job follows the IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation, the industry benchmark for safe, complete mold removal.
Fix the Source So It Stays Gone
We identify the underlying leak, humidity problem, or drainage issue and correct it. Without fixing the source, mold comes back regardless of how thorough the cleaning is.

IICRC S520 Standard
Three Conditions. One Goal: Condition 1.
Before any work begins, we classify the contamination level per IICRC S520. The condition drives every decision, containment size, PPE level, removal protocol, and clearance testing.
Condition 1: Normal (Target)
Background spore levels only. This is the goal state after every remediation job, confirmed by independent clearance testing.
Condition 2: Localized Growth
Visible patch or elevated spore count in a limited area. Protocol: source removal, containment, HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial treatment.
Condition 3: Widespread Contamination
Active growth cross-contaminating multiple areas. Protocol: full negative-air containment, HEPA exhaust vented outside, full PPE, aggressive source removal.

Insurance Claims Made Easy
We Work Directly With Your Insurance
Mold coverage depends on the underlying cause. Mold that results from a sudden, covered water event, such as a burst pipe, an appliance leak, or storm-driven water intrusion, is often covered under homeowners insurance as part of the water damage claim. Mold resulting from long-term neglect, chronic humidity, or gradual seepage is frequently excluded. We assess the situation and work directly with your adjuster to document the cause and scope. You are never required to use an insurer-preferred contractor.
- Billed directly to your insurance carrier
- Full photo & moisture documentation
- We advocate for a fair, complete claim
- You choose your contractor, not the insurer
